Qik

Pallettizing line

Design: Isao Hosoe with Emilio Cassani and Lorenzo De Bartolomeis

Company: Sacmi Automation, Italy, 2006

QIK is a lightweight and agile palletizing system.  Its semantics are completely novel, and incorporate clean forms created from simple steel tubes and extruded aluminum profiles. With simplicity of use and immediately comprehensible interface surfaces, the QIK is an extremely user friendly design.

To increase productivity, the unit can spin while also moving along the three different orthogonal axis simultaneously.  Thus it produces complex product rotations in more efficient movement patterns then previous units. From a physical point of view, the weight of the machinery is noteworthy, as it is approximately half of that of any existing model on the market.
